There’s something for everyone on BCRD’s trail system… whether you like hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, riding horses, rollerblading, learning about nature and history, or just taking in the stunning views.

Summer and winter, The Blaine County Recreation District manages and maintains a core system of trails in the Wood River Valley, all described on this site. If you’re new to the area and need help figuring out all we have to offer – or if you have any questions at all – please
contact us.

The Wood River Trails is a paved system of non-motorized trails open to a variety of uses, including groomed Nordic ski trails in the winter. It connects the cities of Sun Valley, Ketchum, Hailey, and Bellevue.

The Harriman Trail, in partnership with the Sawtooth National Forest, is a year-round, hard-surfaced trail that, in the summer, provides recreation opportunities for hikers, bikers, and equestrians. During the winter, the Harriman Trail is groomed for cross-country skiing.

There are also groomed Nordic ski trails at Galena Lodge, Lake Creek, and Quigley Nordic. In the summer, the Galena trails system and the Harriman Trail offer a variety of trails for summer hiking and mountain biking.

Please remember that no tax dollars support our world-class Nordic ski system, and trail fees only make up a portion of grooming, signage, and trail maintenance costs, so we appreciate your help!
